Oh my Darlin', Sweet Clementine

Updated: Apr 26, 2022

So...I love those little clementine oranges...I also rarely eat the entire bag in time before at least 3-4 of them are starting to dry out and get soft.

If my kids are like yours, they go through an entire bag in two days and then I end up buying ANOTHER bag to have it sit there and almost completely wither away. SMH.

I had to figure out something to do with these clementines...I hated seeing $4-$5 being thrown out in the trash!

Brainstorming started...

1. I could just cut them up and compost them.

2. I can make an all-purpose cleaner out of them

3. I need to go get more body scrub...

Sorry, I get sidetracked.

WAIT! You're right, I need more body scrub, so what's better then making your OWN body scrub?! Also, leaving the house isn't so easy to do these days, if you catch my drift.

Citrus fruits are great for the skin as they are rich in antioxidants, but clementine peels are also rich in vitamin C and E, which are essential for healthy looking skin. They have also been found to help aid the growth and restoration of new cells and tissue due to their oil in their peels!

This scrub will keep up to two weeks, maybe even longer, if kept in the fridge.

I'll end up actually doing all three things I listed above, but let's just start with the body scrub for today. :)
